Does anyone know if uniforms are a requirement for schools here? My daughter will be starting freadom elementary.. 

Nope, no uniforms. 

No uniforms at any of the public schools here that I know of. Freedom is definitely a no as I have two children attending there now lol. Welcome to the area! 

There are some new dress codes though. No shorts above the knees on boys or girls, no sleeveless shirts, no flip flops, no stomach bearing shirts.

The shorts thing annoys me. My daughter is 12 turned 12 2 weeks ago actually and is 5"6. Do you know how hard it is to find shorts that are knee length that aren't B-ball shorts.

That would be annoying. Maybe you can find her some capris. 

i was told the dress code is just for middle and high school. 

She is in 7th grade so the dress code affects us. Yeah, we will have to buy more capri's for her. I wish they had uniforms it would be easier and be money saving and time saving.

me 2! i had to wear uniforms at the grade school and middle school I attended and it was so convenient- although the plaid jumpers and skirts were hideous- gotta love catholic schools :).
