Hi gals, I was on here a couple days ago and I'm back! LOL I was wondering if there is anyone that can give me some info on Drill Sgt. Does it suck as bad as I've heard? Are they always gone? Days off? Anything you can tell me would be appreciated! Thanks in advance ladies!! 

I think it sucks!! Depends on who he is going to be with, but be prepared for 18 hour days 7 days a week. Some companies are off more then others. I know for the first year we were here it was nonstop no breaks in between cylces. 

Oh that sounds wonderful......NOT! Great...... is it always like that? What about during the holidays and such? 

Except for Thanksgiving and Christmas they get no holidays if they have privates!!! What mos is your hubby!!! They do get a nice two week Christmas break. 

He is a combat engineer. We are still waiting for the actual orders to be cut. Its looking like Jan. 2011 though. I'm ready now! LOL 

Oh mine is also a combat eng but he is done next week. Thank god!!! 

my hubby has completed 2 full cycles. We have been here since May of 2009. and I am soooo ready to be done with this crap. No days off for months on end. its almost like theyre deployed again just they get to sleep in their bed. I think it totally sucks! I wish you the best of luck jeri
